
\Suname\S:  Description

Syntax Summary:  uname [-a] [-bdmnrsv] [-S system_name] [-N node_name]
                       [-D domain_name]

         where:  system_name is a system name.

                 node_name is a node name.

                 domain_name is a domain name.
Description:
     \Suname\S prints information about the UNIX system you are using.  With
     the correct options, \Suname\S prints the system's name, system's 
     nodename, the operating system release number, the operating system
     version number and the machine hardware name.  If you are super user you
     can set a domain name for your system, set the system name, set the node
     name.
