Subject: Injected noise testing of the 5/10 and V8

Mike;

Enclosed you will find the internal printer cable for the Optimum 5/10 as
well as some .01 uF capacitors which are to be used in place of the tranzorbs
I sent you earlier. The capacitors should be soldered directly to the line
filter (from line to ground and neutral to ground). This should solve the
injected line noise failure.

I read your latest test report ot the 5/10. I would like to comment on your
testing of the tape drive area. The plastic insert currently in the drives
was hand fabricated there at NBI by me. It wasn't designed , cut, or installed
for a 100% ESD test. The plastic was cut and installed merely to test the
dielectric strength of the material and the feasability of the "fix". However,
we're very grateful for the thoroughness of your product testing.

Thanks again,

Rob
