                              *   MESSAGES   *

     This help screen describes a command in the MESSAGES menu.  This
     menu includes four commands for sending messages to other users on
     your system.  The command you selected is explained below.  To
     select help for any other command, press any key to return to the
     MESSAGES menu, then move the cursor to that command and press the
     HELP or ? key.

                            Who is on the System?

     Displays the list of users who are currently logged in.  You can
     send messages to any user who is logged in.  When you select this
     command, the name, tty and login time for each user are displayed.

                               Send a Message

     Sends a message to a user who is logged on to your system.  When you
     select this command, you will be prompted to enter the login name of
     the user to whom you want to send a message.  Type in the name of
     the user, then press RETN.  Next, type your message.  As you type
     your message, the words will be simultaneously displayed on the
     other user's terminal.  End the message by pressing RETN, then CTRL d.

                              Send to All Users

     Broadcasts a message to all users who are logged in.  When you
     select this command, you will be prompted to type your message.
     Type in your message and press RETN at the end of each line.  When
     you have finished the message, press RETN, then CTRL d.  The message
     will then appear on the other terminals.

                           Allow/Disallow Messages

     Prevents a message from being sent to your screen.  You are
     initially set to receive all messages.  When you select this
     command, you will be prompted in the MESSAGES menu to select
     (a) disallow, or (b) allow.  To prevent other users from sending
     you messages, select a (disallow).  To allow other users to send
     messages to your screen, select b (allow).
