                                *   FILES   *

     This help screen describes a command in the FILES menu.  This menu
     includes six commands for managing your files.  The command you
     selected is explained below.  To select help for any other command,
     press any key to return to the FILES menu, then move the cursor to
     that command and press the HELP or ? key.

                          Display Contents of File

     Displays the contents of a file on the screen.  When you select this
     command, you will be prompted for the name of the file to display.
     Type the file name, then press RETN.  The first part of the file is
     displayed on the screen.  Press the SPACE BAR to read further.

                                Print a File

     Prints a file on a printer.  When you select this command, you will
     be prompted for the name of the file to print.  Type the file name,
     then press RETN.  If you have more than one printer, a list of
     printer names will be displayed on the screen.  Type the name of
     the printer to use, then press RETN.  Your file will then be
     printed.

                                 Copy a File

     Makes a copy of a file.  When you select this command, you will be
     asked for the name of the file to be copied.  Type the file name,
     then press RETN.  Next, you will be prompted for the name of the new
     file.  Type the new name, then press RETN.  A copy of the file will
     be made.  You will see a message telling you the file has been
     copied.

                                Rename a File

     Renames a file on your hard disk.  When you select this command, you
     will be asked for the name of the file to be renamed.  Type the
     file name, then press RETN.  Next, you will be prompted for the new
     name for the file.  Type the new name, then press RETN.  The file
     will be renamed.  You will see a message telling you the file has
     been renamed.

                                Delete a File

     Deletes a file from your hard disk.  When you select this command,
     you will be prompted to enter the name of the file to be deleted.
     Type the file name, then press RETN.  You will then be asked if you
     really want to delete the file.  If you do, type y (for yes), and
     press RETN.  If you change your mind and do not want to delete the
     file, type n (for no), and press RETN.  You will see a message
     telling you the file has been deleted.

                           Change File Permissions

     Changes the permissions on a file.  When you select this command,
     you are prompted for a file name.  Type the file name, then press
     RETN.  The current permission settings for that file are displayed.
     Use the arrow keys to move to the mode you wish to change, and then
     press the SPACE BAR to change a file permission.  Once the
     permissions are set the way you want them, type q to set the
     permissions and return to the FILES menu.
